Getting multiple Tallbird eggs?

So I have two Tallbirds in my world and I've stolen both of their eggs. Now whenever I go in their area they're waiting for me, and go after me. I've tried sneaking in during the night in hopes to find more eggs, but there are none. All I find is two angry Tallbirds.

My question is, how are you suppose to get more eggs? I've heard that they lay them, but it doesn't seem like my Tallbirds want to. It's been about 8-9 days now since I've stolen their eggs. I found the game just last week and have been enjoying it since, but I'm absolutely stumped by this.

You need to be in there area for them to lay the new eggs I believe

I think they might have bugged out a bit for you, staying in Aggro mode probably disables their egg-laying abilities. I recommend, for next time, wait until nighttime, push the sleeping clump of tallbird out of your way, and steal their egg. That's the only way I know of to get multiple tallbird eggs from a nest.

Agreed, you can also try getting as close as possible to them without them seeing you and just wait, it might take a while, but they might lay some eggs again.
