We have to become nomads?

Hi!
I'm playing with the DLC which makes the game much more fun, really, but I always have a problem, the giants
It seems like everyone I quickly located my base when im totally armed and have to destroy everything and kill me, the most i survived were 33 days with Wendy and i dead for a Deerclops
With all the giants destroyed all there, is there to be nomad?, I can not set a good camp without that will destroy a giant, and the character Wigfrid seem adapt it to change place every time.
I need be a nomad for go to summer?

Let me share my strategy with you..

Locate the swamp. Make a boomerang or blow dart or fire staff.

 

When the giants come to your base, hit them without getting closer (with boomerang or smt like that..) and run to the swamp. (if you have walking cane it will be easier.) At the swamp tentacles and other wild creatures will attack them and will finish them..

 

Miner hat will be good if they come at night.. So make 1 miner hat.

I hope this will work..

 

And.. we dont have to be nomad.
