I am loving this game! I survived 6 nights on my very first run! But I have a few suggestions. I was wondering if you could make it so that when you put a piece of equipment (like an ax or a pickax) into your bag, and you right click on that item in the bag (when you already have an item equipped), the item goes into the same spot in the bag rather than back into your inventory. Because I like putting my tools and some of my food into my backpack and it's really annoying having to drag it back into my backpack.

Also is it possible to make the games resolution fit my entire screen? There's an annoying black boarder around it... I tried making the resolution fit that of my current resolution for my screen, but it still has the boarder.

I suggested the same, didn´t seem to go over too well unfortunately :(

Now it's not that your idea wasn't well received, it's only that you wanted every item to have its own spot in your inventory. That might prove difficult to manage. The more common suggestion was to have it that items swap between the equipped slot and the inventory slot. So if you have an axe equipped and you want a shovel, using the LMB to auto-equip the shovel should swap it with the axe, so now the shovel is equipped and the axe is in the spot previously occupied by the shovel (in your inventory).

Or in simple terms, allow auto-equip to swap items.

Yeah I hear ya, just would like to be able to organize the inventory and have things go back to where you put them. The auto-equip to swap items can still be done. I just think that it would be nice to have 1 axe 2 pickaxe 3 shovel etc... so you knew if you hit number 1 key you´d get the axe. Just makes it a little quicker / easier to use the number keys like that. Especially if you´re running from a mob and need your weapon out quick, instead of needing to find it first on the toolbar and then click on it. Anyways, it´s not a biggie, just a wish. ;)

I'll assume you don't mean the current hotkey setup, as "1" would be whatever is in your first inventory slot, which may not necessarily be your axe. Rather you want a key that, when pressed, equips your axe. I'm not sure if that's feasible, but it may be slightly more feasible than the former suggestion... then again, what if you have two axes? What is both are at 100%... or one is flint and the other is gold... ugh. Yeah, I don't think this will be happening.

This is kinda why I had the idea of a tool belt. To keep tools/weapons separate from the resources. Then have the tool belt connected with the number keys for a quick change of what´s in your hand. If you have two axes then the one in the tool belt is the one that gets swapped to your hand, not the one in the regular inventory slots.

But wouldn't this conflict with the hot keys (1-9) for the inventory slots? If you had a tool belt and had an axe in the #1 spot, and pressed the 1 key, would it auto-equip the axe from your tool belt or the #1 item in your inventory slot... which might be food.

Perhaps we could use a 3 slot tool/weapon belt with [Z], [X] and [C] for hotkey. You put whatever tool/weapon you want down there.

If you want Axe, pickaxe and shovel, fine. If you want Axe, Axe and Axe, it's fine too. Same goes with weapons. Axe, Sleeping dart and Spear? AWESOME.

Thing is, the hotkeys won't be attached to a specific tool, but a place, much like the inventory right now. You wouldn't have ALWAYS an axe if you pressed [Z].

Works for me! I just find that it´s a pain when say, i finish a pile of berries, the switch my axe to pickaxe, then want to switch back to the axe and it´s moved to where the berries were, not where the axe was before i switched to the pickaxe. i want to designate a spot for each thing and have it go back there after swapping.

anyways.. haha

I actually love that idea.
