Help?!

No. I am sorry. If you hit the death screen saying "You Have Died" not even cheating (Control Alt Delete End Task or Shift F4 on PC's) would work (making a new world on day 1 for that character.)

(Consider this the only time I felt like explaining cheating also.)

I've never tried this with DS, but Windows Restore worked to save a corrupted Minecraft world once.  Basically, by resetting windows backto an earlier restore point and get an older file from there. Of course, all the other stuff you did on every other piece of software might get reset too that way.  Don't mess with this if you're not sure what that might do.

Warning: My game crashed and wouldn't load (the game not the saves) past the main screen (for new and saved games) and required a complete re-install for a windows restore that had nothing to do with this game. (Fortunately, l  was able to reload the backed up saves and they did work after all that.) This could possibly work, or this crash could happen. If you go this route, proceed with caution, and (ironically) back up your saves.

And next time, just Save and Quit if you care about dying.

Edit: Had a meal break and posted that while my game was on pause. I took my own advice and closed my own game.
