Misaki Posted December 11, 2013 Share Posted December 11, 2013 So, I have the standalone Don't Starve, the newest, and the version just after Strange New Powers update (I hope it's not illegal to play the older version...) and I have two DoNotStarve folders on my computer, both have the standard set of folders and config and log in it.On the older version I have four worlds, on the newer only one, and I want to pass the adventure mode with WX-78, I need around 50 days in game, I don't have time for dat, especially when on my older version all chars are already unlocked, I tried my best with importing saves, but both of the "save" folders are empty! Do I need special program to "see" those files? It would also help if you tell me how those save files are called, I can use search option this way. I didn't know where to put this thread, if it's in the wrong branch, I am sorry. Copy and Overwrite the old save files to the newly created ones. Load the games abnd watch your games get save scrummed restored! Also, make sure if Steam that you're NOT on the beta option or it makes another set of save games instead.Hope that helps. Misaki Posted December 12, 2013 Author Share Posted December 12, 2013 I think I know the reason why is this happening, I somehow menaged to pirate (it isn't really pirating since I already payed for the game), earlier versions, it turns out that The Stuff of Nightmares can't read my old save files, or doesn't want to, I think I know the reason, it's all because Morgue.I don't really have anything to copy, since I can't find save files anywhere.Can you please, please, tell me how are they called? I would be really happy to find them with search option. @editNo, wait, that isn't right, The Stuff of nightmares have my saves but the moderatly friendly update doesn't, I AM SO CONFUSED! When all else fails, reloading the game and doing the steps from my previous post often works. But I'm glad it finally worked for you and you didn't have to do that Misaki!
