(Let's see if I can live longer this time.

Name: Olivia Forthbell

Race: Fourteen Parts Human, One Part Corruption

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Backstory:

Abilities

Essences and Wisps

Those that have become blind to the disturbances and practices of sorcery would not know the theoretical perfecting of normally tainted powers. Olivia is one of the few that has knowledge on how to refine the normally gray area of sorcery into its black and white parts. Sometimes a divided state is more powerful then a whole. This she had known personally.

Corruption, But With A Mind Of It's Own

Toying with and tempting the surprisingly overwhelming power of magic can leave both mental and physical scars on a person. In the case of Olivia, it left both scars on her, though not in the way you expect; her right arm has been cursed with the corruption of unstable magic, and is thus thinner, the entire slender limb up to the shoulder a dark shade of purple. This is not the only wound, though; the corrupted limb seemingly has a higher mind that is both completely separate and completely whole with Olivia's own mind. Think of it as having half of an organ donor's brain; they both have to interact with each other to complete their goals, but they both can think individually, and possibly hinder the other's plans..

A Helpful, Albeit Crippled, Hand

She isn't one that fights. She is more the type that helps those around her to attack. She does this with the rod she carries with her. When loaded with a flask of magic, she can give powers and increase the effectiveness of powers with certain buffs and incantation, though this comes with the effect that she can't attack.

Appearance: The clothing she dons, apart from the clouded glasses she wears, is, to say the least, unusual; she wears brightly colored silk dress with only one sleeve, the top a sunflower yellow and the bottom a disconcerting mauve, tied around her waist with an unnoticeable cord with the entire dress hanging onto her by two straps on her shoulders. The pure white of her shoulder length hair, styled in a bob cut and pinned with a purple taupe button shaped hairpin, also adds to this warring barrage of color. Once you got over the unusual colors, designs and the brightness of it all, the effect of the colors mingling was strangely pleasant. What might puzzle some people is the fact that the dress has only one sleeve, but it does its sole purpose well.

Personality: Being a young woman, she has a strong, albeit ditzy mindset and an unwavering independence from the rest of society. She is one of those types of people that seem unusual when placed among others, but alone she is a power not to be reckoned with. She is mostly calm, sometimes joking, but disconcertingly serious when the time arrives. Let us hope you never have to deal with an angered Olivia.

Side Notes: Her tools that she keeps with her are orderly kept inside of a brown satchel, the inside weaved with a small amount of gold. Here are a list of some of the tools and mediums kept within; now keep in mind, she can still invoke magic without most of these, it's just that it will be diminished, akin to a candle drowning in melted wax;

  • Ivory Wand (Gold Capped, Iron Designs)
  • Bell Jars (Small, Clouded Glass)
  • Apothecary Jars (Clouded Glass)
  • Hand Held Mirror (Trapped Quicksilver)
  • Gold Rimmed Spectacles (Multiple Lenses)
  • Alexandrite (Grade A, Indian)
  • Spool of Thread and Needle (Purple Thread, Gold Needle)
  • Spare Lens (Prescription)
  • Pig Skin Gloves (Stained Purple)
  • Inhibitor (Shadow)
  • Flask (Small)

Did I forget anything? I did rush this..)

(I would like at least a small bit of information on how she survived the apocolypse. You don't have to tell me much, but at least if she was alive before the event or created after or somewhere in between.)

"S-Stay away..." His shivering intensified, and his eyes slowly glazed over. As he opened his mouth to speak, a dark, messy liquid began pouring out of it.

(Olivia was alive during the event, and with eighteen years living with the apocolypse, she has learned to adapt to the hardships the end would bring. Of course, in a time where resources were lacking, using refined magic would've been dangerous. How do you think she got her crippled arm? Of course, it wasn't that there are no resevoirs of magic; there are plenty of essences she can use, though they are certainly diminished. These resevoirs are what kept her alive, helping her attain sustenance and defend herself against those that wish to cause malice.)

(Problem is, the apocalypse was not 18 years ago.)

"Buggy... I thought you'd help..."

The dark liquid continues leaking out of his mouth, and he proceeds to retch.

I'm not sure there's much we can do--

Frank's (Or J's, whichever floats your boat) thought was interrupted when a gut-wrenching sound was heard coming from the child as a shadowy hand stretches its way out of his mouth. The child's screams are muted do to the increasing number of shadows escaping his mouth. More and more continue flooding out, until a loud crack shoots through the air. The child's jaw has broken, and his mouth now sits unnaturally wide as darkness continually stream out.

"Oh ****!... J, unleash me, Austin, give me your weapon, and Oxry make fire and fly away!!! I can't let that boy die such a horrible death, I will make it faster!"

Sometimes people should do horrible things, this was  one of them. Double V went in kid direction.

Double V was shocked. Bug only made things worse. Every second was hell for this boy, and Victor couldn't see something like that.

"You can't save him! It will only make him suffer even more! You made a promise to protect him. And I'm going to make that promise real. I will protect him, from suffering he doesn't deserve! So shut your month and once in your live don't be an egoistic beetle and lit up a ****** fire!"

(Then she wouldn't really be eighteen years old, would she?)

Austin simply watches in horror, not seeming to notice much else besides the horror that was happening to the child.

Well... You remember possession, right?

J shakes his head. Not quite yet. Our beetlely friend has a plan. There was still a part of J which was still demented by Them which rather enjoyed the suffering of others, so his eyes shined with interest rather than disgust or horror.
