If the slots still open, here is mine.

-Avam App-

Ooc: Looks good to me. If you need a catch up, I can give you one. But as for right now, we're in a pretty intense situation. You might be able to find a way in, though.

A slot just opened, and then someone immediately came to fill it. I feel appreciated.

Ic: The man dies, and fades into the shadows. However, more scientists emerge from seemingly nowhere.

"You were a mistake. And you must be undone."

"I'm afraid you don't have a choice."

At that, Oxyklne feels the sensation of falling, and he drops into a sealed glass box. Another scientist with bright glasses and a couple of scalpels smiles medicinally at the shadowy beetle.

The instant the scalpel's blade makes contact with Oxryklne, shadowy tendrils burst out of the beetle, wrapping around the scalpel.

<You're obviously not really one of the scientists who created me.  If you were, you would have taken proper procedures.>

Oxryklne's tendrils crush the scalpel into an unrecognizable strip of metal, then cast it away and begin encasing the man's arm in shadows.

The man smiles somewhat disturbingly, and cigar smoke fills the air. Against Oxyklne's will, the shadow tendrils continue to expand out of the beetle. He grips onto the tendrils, and the grip on his arm loosens tremendously.

"Wow. I really didn't think it would be that easy to get you to use darkness. If I had known it would be this easy, I would have just tempted you with a chicken leg or something."

As the tendrils flow out of Oxyklne, his energy escapes him, too.

<Oh, not much.  It's just...>

Oxryklne's glow suddenly becomes far brighter.

<Surprise b*tch.>

The light turns the tendrils fiery white, and they are back in Oxryklne's control.  He crushes the man's arm like tinfoil, breaking his grip.

The man roars in pain, his piercing red eyes glaring at Oxyklne. His surroundings melt away, and he finds himself in a huge battle. Dryads are attacking large shades. None of the shades are quite alike. Some resemble snakes, some resemble boars, and many other creatures.

J approaches Oxyklne from the chaos. He is carrying a very bloody and recently used kitchen knife

"Good, you made it. We could use some help with the shades."

As the battle rages on, it is apparent the Dryads are loosing, despite their power.

(Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Also, Percy, you can't be at the main battle yet. You haven't gone through... Initiation. If you want to climb onto the corrupted ground, you can get started.)

How else would you win? You kill them.

Pointing his knife at one of the shades, J fires off a beam of purple energy at one his target. It writhes in pain for a while before disintegrating.
