"Trying not to get killed by these shadow things. Where are you? How do I get to you?"

-----------

You're testing my patience, kid. I could kill you.

The shadows spread further, covering a fifth of the room.

"Alright..."

Barry begins desperately searching the area and avoiding shades, trying to find the place that Oxyklne was talking about. Eventually, in the distance, he sees a silhouette of a large fortress.

"You wouldn't happen to be in a giant, dark, spooky castle, would you?"

(Beetlejuice is a movie. You're Barry punny, today, Debul.)

Barry walks closer to the castle... And is captured by a shadow hand. He tries to resist, but gets dragged into the dungeon. He appears in the same room as the other two, chained by his arms and legs to the wall.

(Now, we play the waiting game. I don't want to move on without the others. If we have to wait too long, I might start killing people off.)

Barry snorts.

"You can't see yourself right now. It is pretty funny."

As he says this, the chains tighten around Barry, pulling his joints a bit. He yelps in pain.

Oxryklne gives a small grin.  <Karma.> He says softly.

(I think Firestarter should be killed off.  Ellebelly has been inactive for a while now, but I'd still wait a bit.  I think we can go on without her, though.  Pecival is here.)

(Hmm... Sounds legit. Okay, moving on. Lily and others can jump in later.)

A familiar laugh rings through the room.

Barry does have a point. You do look ridiculous. Courtesy of me, of course. Rather brilliant, I must say. You look hilarious.

J steps forward with a huge grin on his face, smoking a large cigar.

Hello, ladies and gents. And welcome to the show.

As if on cue, the room moves down like an elevator. The group finds themselves in a dark circular room, J's piercing eyes staring intently at his prisoners.

Chapter 1

End

(The end? Far from it... I was just expecting some reactions. But whatever.)

Barry looks around.

"J? What is this? What are you doing?"

J laughs.

Not very bright, are you? You just got back stabbed.

He hands Barry his instrument, and the chains around Barry's arms loosens.

Play me a song, Bard.
