(Okay, moving on. Finally. After an age. A.K.A four days.)

Dryidian shouts of alarm are heard from outside the house. J takes one look outside a window, and sighs.

The Shard. It's here.

Barry sits upright, and appears to be somewhat panicked.

Already? That's unusual... I thought for sure it wouldn't arrive for another day or so.

I've been holding this stuff back for centuries. But now that it has spread, it is most likely more powerful. We can probably deal with it with the help of the Dryads. Hopefully. If we die, this is on you.

Barry nods, collecting his guitar.

"Where do we go? Do we run?"

J shakes his head solemnly.

No. We stay and fight. If we can't end this here, we'll have a much harder time ending it later. Get ready to abandon the battle at anytime, though. If things are bleak, I'm afraid retreating is the only sensible option.

Okay. Would you like to backstab everyone here? Good luck with that. Then again, they're all neutral. As far as I know. I'm not too certain about that J. But if you would like to assist the shadows and kill these people, then I would like to see you try. No I wouldn't. You would die. Then I'd be stuck with you.

J sighs.

Then we're off.

The group begins following the stream of Dryads charging into battle. Soon, in the distance, they see the corrupted land. It is spreading steadily, and seems to be covering a huge amount of ground. Dryads can be seen walking calmly onto the dark ground, and shadows spread up their bodies. They melt into the shadows, nowhere to be seen.

That's how it's going to look. Just stay calm. Act like the others, and you won't get singled out.

They approach the darkness, and J steps onto the ground. He takes a deep breath, and shadows climb his body. Barry follows suit, trying to stay as calm as possible. However, when Daniel steps onto the ground, his knees buckle, and he falters. Two huge shadow hands emerge from the ground on either side of him. Daniel tries to summon something, anything to slow his demise. But he cannot produce anything. The shadow hands grab him by the arms, ripping him down the middle as if he was a piece of paper. There is no blood, just the disintegrating body and a small, bright light. Not too different to Frank's soul. The final screams of Daniel's suffering can be heard as the shadows consume his soul.

(Daver has decided to leave the roleplay. So that's the reason for this.)

Quite the hypocrite, I see.

As the shadows envelop Oxyklne, Frank's voice grows fainter and fainter. Barry is completely gone at this point, now in the Nether.

--------

J treads down a finely crafted hallway. It seems to be made of a dark purple marble, supported with pitch black pillars. A voice rings through J's head.

Welcome back, Carter.

J snorts, and small orbs of shadows arise in his hands.

--------

Barry looks around. He seems to be in an empty field, save a few trees. It is midnight, and the field is fairly flat. He grips his instrument.

"Where am I...?"

--------

Oxyklne finds himself in a place similar to where he found Frank, except without the screams. It seems to be just pure darkness around him.

A voice appears from behind Oxyklne.

"I'm sure I can produce some happier ones."

Behind Oxyklne stands a somewhat familiar man in a white coat. He smells of chemicals, and is a scientist who had a hand in Oxyklne's creation.

If the slots still open, here is mine.

Name:Avam
Age:???
Abilities:

Unstable Sanity: Avam is mentally disturbed, and as such has a very little sanity.

Hallucination Armor: Avam hallucinates a powerful set of armor and believes he is invincible, even though he simply isn't feeling pain, very rarely he will actually summon a set of Shadow Armor.

Bad Hallucination: When insane Avam will hallucinate himself as weak or will be overwhelmed by Shadow Creatures.

Appearance: Avam wears a dull purple suit which is intact save for the dust and rips. His hair is black  and his eyes are green.

Backstory: While Avam was the best man at his friends wedding he went to check up on him as he hadn't shown up in an hour, in his place was a tall man in a suit who smiled at him, put his hand on Avam's head and transferred horrible thoughts of things in the darkness. When the images stopped, he was awake in a forest clearing...
