jshhk
Put this on reddit, thought it could use some attention here as well. Here's an idea for a mod that I think could add a lot of value: a wormhole mover. The basic idea is that the mod would create two craftable items: worm repellent/poison and worm food. These should be made from mid-late game items to avoid exploitation on new worlds (the harder to get the better tbh, as there are already too many broken mods that ruin the gameplay experience)Put simply, give the worm repellent to the hole you want to move, and drop the worm food at the intended destination. After some period of time the sick/repelled wormhole will pop out at the worm food, consuming it.This would add a lot of convenience without destabilizing gameplay, and would allow players to fix unlucky world gens where the destination wormhole is spawned half a screen away from the source.Thoughts? MilleniumCount
Welcome on the forum! I would say this thread would be more effective if it is posted in the Mod Subforum. Since you are mentioning specifically a mod for this. jshhk
That makes sense... should I just duplicate my post, or can the mods move it? Silentdarkness1
An interesting idea. It should probably be made with either a ton of monster meat, nightmare fuel, and beard hair, or perhaps some thulecite.... jshhk
OK, just gonna throw some science at the wall and see what sticks... Food = 8 Meat, 4 Nightmare FuelRepellent = 1 Worm Food, 6 Glow Berries So you need the repellent for the food to work, meaning you'll need two units of food and some glow berries to move a wormhole. The glow berries give some more reward to the risk of murdering Depth Worms and gives them another use. And you'll need a pretty large amount of meat, meaning that you'll be pressed to do some gathering to get all of the items together before they spoil. This could be especially true if you allow the end products themselves to suffer from spoilage. Again just brainstorming here, but I'm eager to hear some feedback. seronis
I've wondered about balanced ways of creating wormholes but just moving ones already in the world does seem like a better idea. I might have this on my 'todo: eventually' list if no one beats me to it. Keep brainstorming =-) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/29860-mod-suggestion-wormhole-foodrepellent-to-move-wormholes/#findComment-374798 Share on other sites
