A: Why is this in the modding section?

B: That's a Totally Normal Tree, it drops Living Logs and was added in the latest update.

Honestly about half the posts on this  sub forum should not be here, most are mod requests or suggestions (which are basically more/less polite requests depending on your viewpoint) or like this post questions about the base game that have nothing to do with modding.

But requests actually do belong here. I would prefer a subforum for that though. Actually with the size the modding community has by now we could have quite a few subforums to get some order in the things here.

Sorry maybe its me but for the most part I don't like requests a few I have seen have been polite and thoughtful but most seem to be pretty rude and basically disregard any difficulty in making these mods and then to be in the vein of gimee gimee gimee mentality. A few I have seen re posted over and over again. Suggestions can be good if they are really suggestions and not just a suggestion to fill a request.

I guess it just irks me to see people come in here and use the modding community with little regard and no respect for the talent I have seen here.

Making a separate forum for requests would just mean nobody saw them because who would go there except the people making the requests? I think it's fine to have ideas/requests/suggestions in the same forum as people asking for a bit of guidance with their own projects. Heck, I've filled 3 or 4 requests myself just because I wanted to see how easily it could be done.

The forum participation isn't nearly large enough to require splitting up. If anything should go into a separate forum it should be the "released mod" threads that really serve no purpose since each download page and steam workshop page have their own comments sections.

I agree to both of you, I didn't really put a lot of thought into my post up there. Of course there's suggestions and "suggestions" but in any way I think even the most basic ones can ignite ideas thart might've never come to a modders mind. Putting them in a seperate forum might really be a bad idea as well. I don't know, I don't really have a lot of experience with forums...
