OOOOOhhhhh.

But Pops was gonna let her live a little bit longer... I think. Her death was not their fault. Mostly. Kinda. It was an accident.)

[Battal]

(IT WAS UR FAULT THO.)

 

Jakob shakes his head rapidly.  "She seemed...familiar."

[Percival]

(Tempus apparation now?

 

 

Maybe?)

[Blewcheese]

(OKAY I'M SORRRYYYYY)

 

Joseph nodded in agreement, lost in thought. "Yeah, I feel like her voice sounds familiar... Pops, did we kill her? I thought you said it was wrong to end lives."

 

Pops shook his head slowly. "This is different. The ends justify the means."

[Battal]

Jakob snorts.  "What kind of answer is that?"

[Blewcheese]

"The one that justifies what we've done to get here. We simply traded the lives of few to save the lives of many. Is there an issue?" Pops replies, not looking at Jakob.

 

Joseph frowns, but continues on without a word.

[Battal]

"But innocent people?"  Jakob asks.  "That's horrible!"

[Blewcheese]

"We are saving innocents as well. It may be horrible, but less horrible than the alternative."

[Battal]

Jakob shakes his head, but remains silent.  They turn yet another corner, and find some familiar faces waiting for them.  Satoshi and Snowfall.

 

"We got through so much."  Snowfall says, looking at Joseph with sadness.  "And then when I needed help, you just stopped caring.  You couldn't even save me...do you really think you can save everyone?"

[Blewcheese]

Joseph's eyes widen in disbelief. "S-Snowfall? Satoshi?" He stopped in his tracks.

 

"Joseph..." Pops looked back at Joseph, his eyes narrowing.

 

(NAMES, LOTS OF NAMES.)

[Battal]

Satoshi glares at everyone else with cold, unforgiving eyes.  "And you wouldn't even take the time to grab me.  To tell me to stop.  To hold me back.  You just let me waltz to my death."

[Will]

Dark Will looks on in sadness.

"You're right... I couldn't save you... but you- no, Snowfall sacrificed herself. She knew what we were fighting for. She knew us trying to save her would have gotten us all killed. That's why she sacrificed herself. Isn't that right, Sundrop? And you, Satoshi- I mean, Dark Satoshi. Here's your sword back."

Dark Will throws Satoshi's sword hilt at Dark Satoshi.

"Shadowfall may be able to summon our enemies, victims of circumstance, to sadden us, be he can't make our friends turn against us!"

[Battal]

(It's not actually Dark Satoshi.  But okay.)

 

Satoshi howls in pain, dissipating.  Snowfall looks on in sadness.  "Some heroes you are."  She says, fading away.

 

    The group turns the final corner.  They find themselves on a large cliff, surrounded by seething, black material.  Rising out of this seething mass are multiple smaller mountains, all of which are in unnatural shapes.  At the tip of the cliff is the Spire, Shadowfall standing directly in front of it. 

 

"So, you've finally arrived."  He says, observing the group.  "I was thinking you had gone and gotten yourselves killed back at the gates.  And what would have been the fun in that?"
 

[Blewcheese]

Joseph trembled in fear, uncertainty flickering in his eyes as he looked at Shadowfall.

 

Pops glared at Shadowfall, frowning. "Surely you give us more credit than that." He clenched his fists, already mapping out the battleground in his mind.

[Battal]

Shadowfall chuckles, walking forwards towards the group.  "I will admit, you have...impressed me on many occasions.  Even if the majority of them are based on luck.  Killing the mother?  You caught her off-guard.  The Warden?  Well, you can blame your traitorous little friend on that.  Who knows?  Maybe a magical purple rhinocerous will come along and stab me through the heart." 

 

Shadowfall laughs again.

 

"But I think not.  Your little story ends here, mortals."
 

[Percival]

Celina's head pokes out from the back of the group, a shadow tendril over her throat trying to pull her back.

 

"Eh, sorry if I sound rude, but you are...?"

 

(Did anyone ever describe Shadowfall physically to Celina?

 

 

Besides, we need comic relief.)

[Blewcheese]

Joseph, who was still fairly scared, whispers over to Celina. "That's Shadowfall."

 

Pops nods thoughtfully. "Perhaps it may. But at least I made it further than my previous attempt. Must I remind you that you were defeated once?"

[Will]

"So you're this Shadowfall guy, huh? Well, I hate to break it to you, but you're going to be defeated today!"

"You had me made into a monster, Shadowfall. You had me kill many people. This is personal to me now."

"If I must say, one of your biggest mistakes was probably taking my evil away. I'd most likely be on your side if you hadn't. Thank goodness I'm not. I can't see myself serving someone as insane as you are."

Violet draws her sword, and fills it with lightning. Dark Will pulls out both of revolvers. Finally, Will draws his Rainblower.

"Prepare to die!"

[Blewcheese]

(Somebody get the battle music.)

[Percival]

"Ah. I assume you guys are going to stab his insides and rip them out and perform what normally is a physical impossibility into a reality? Like [EXPLICIT]?"

[Will]

"This is the end, either you die, or we die, Shadowfall."

Ayasha prepares herself for battle.

[Blewcheese]

"Uhm... I don't know..." Joseph glances at Celina warily.

[Percival]

"Shame. It would've been fun. Ah well, I guess this is the part where I hit him right between the eyes with a miniature chainsaw?"

 

As she says this, she slips the osteotome into her left hand, and her music box into her right hand.
