"Alright, time for nice things."

Will passes out flashlights and torches for Snowfall, Jakob, Joseph, and himself.

"There we go, we'll have plenty of light. I've also got some more emergency lighting if we need it."

Will puts on a light jacket.

"I think we are ready."

(Good night.)

Jakob looks at his flashlight in distaste.  He hands it back to Will.

"No thanks.  I like making my own light."

Jakob ignites a ball of fire in his hands, but it flickers out quickly.  He keeps trying, but to no avail.

"Damn.  I've stressed out my energy too much..."

Jakob silently takes back his flashlight from Will.

( Hello everyone. :3 Name's Rainy, I'm new to the forums and to this RP. I PM'd Battal my CS so I wouldn't interrupt you lot, so here goes!)

"Not much can dwell within this pass. It is too barren. You need not fear."

The moment Viti-Mortos speaks against the group's abnormal paranoia, a slow, shuffling noise of cloth of stone picks up in the air, echoed through the grey and desolate rocky mountain pass. The scrambling of claws and the silent whooshes of air, as if one was throwing a silent, angry cat around the oily darkness that not even Shard's burning wings could reach, high above. These new sounds mixed and accompanied the usual noise of a low chilled breeze whistling through the pass, and the drip of water from rocky outcrops onto platforms below.

Something was making its way towards the group warily, slowly, and carefully. It seemed the skirt in and out of the dark like a frightened puppy, getting close to the group before spinning on however many feet it has and bolting it far away and up onto one of the many platforms. Watching. Waiting in silence, and never getting close enough to penetrate the sphere of light that surrounds the group.

And then, something happened. The crumbling noise of rock upon rock as whatever was trying to get close was either struck by a rock, or gripped onto a weak platform , ten or so meters ahead. Then from the dark erupted a new sound, one that perhaps no-one would've expected at all.

The thing that was approaching you had suddenly sniffled and was letting lose quiet, whimpering sobs. Clearly, it was something very young, but it's too dark to see what it is without getting closer.

(Hey Blew! Never realized it was you, I always recognise by icon...I really need an icon. :<)

As the pale cone of light descends upon the thing that was following them, it's clear that it wasn't much of a danger at all. In fact, this might throw everyone off guard even more...for the light falls upon a little girl.

She looks terribly thin, wearing bloodied and muddy clothes, practically skin and bones and parchment pale. Her black hair trails behind her like a cascade of water, insanely long and unusually neat and shiny for such a situation. She's cradling her left hand in her right and her lips are very bright and red compared to her white, pale face. When the light catches her eyes, flecks of gold like golf leaf glitter in her dark irises.

She sniffled, whimpering, and the light catches something shiny on her hand - and upon closer inspection she's managed to get a ragged gash in her left hand and blood is literally pouring out of the wound. It's puddling in her other hand like a deep red wine and it's clear why the girl is crying, since the wound looks terribly painful. She kicks her bandaged feet out, trying to get away from everyone else, choking out sobs.

(Always little girls. First Whimper, now this.)

The girl cried out, moving back and the blood splashes onto the floor. She feels her back press against the cold, smooth rock and she looks past the two who are talking to her, at the others, and then at Viti-Mortos. And in that gaze, which she holds for a very long time, the little girl's mouth twitches and she huddles up, away from everyone else.

In fact, she gets up and staggers out of the light - and the moment she moves into the inky darkness, she completely vanishes. Not even a trail of blood to follow - where did she go?

(Need to go now. Bye!)
