He sucked nightmare fuel out of Shard, and grew his demon wings, but he was immensely powerful. Maxwell then discussed with Azreth to let him take control in order to stop John, and Azreth agreed, so maxwell and John (who was being called Jack) had an epic battle, and now they're even more injured than before.
