Question about gift copys of the game when buying on steam

So I already bought don't starve for myself and a buddy, but I wanted to snag two copy's of the game to give to two other friends as a Christmas gift. If I buy the game as a gift on steam, does that put two copys of don't starve in my inventory, or do I just get one, and who ever receives the gift gets a second copy?

If you purchase on Steam, you will get the game for yourself and 1 other copy in your steam inventory, unless you purchase as a gift, in which case, 2 would be placed in your steam inventory.
