maybe if the game had a wolf hunting your food it would take away the easiness of building next to rabbits and killing them rapidly or traping them. instead you have to fight your rivals, get better at hunting, or find a new food source.

another idea would be that they stay in one spoot and wander around for 3 days then they move to a new spot. they would give birth to little wolf pups that if you stole could become your pet and you would have to feed it are for it and everthing else.

evelution of Wolf

baby: for 15 days you have to take care of it and if you dont feed it, it might attack you or steal some of your food

teen: for 10 days it can hunt but wont get to far from camp it wont be able to get enough food but more than before. if you dont feed it it will go crazy and attack you it wont steal your food

adult:for 10 days can hunt on its own doesnt need you at all and even can get you a little food but if you didnt treat the wolf well in its younger years it will go back to its group of wolfs

elder wolf: wolf will catch a few rabbits in a day but will need less too if you have an elder wolf it will live for 2 days until it will die.

the wolf wont attack you unless angered they will chase you for a little bit before realizing you have won if your wolf goes back to the pack as an adult or if you have a wolf with you as a teen or adult they wont attack you.

the wolfs will only eat meat and berries but it needs more meat

babies need atleast 6 food in a day if you give it more berries than meat it will leave you as an adult

teens need 4 food in a day because they huntf you give it more berries it will igrnore you more often and hunt less as an adult

adult wolfs need no food just pet them and play with them bring them to their pack once and a while and they will get you more food

elder wolfs can only eat roasted berries becuase their mushy it needs 1 roasted berry a day

adulys need

What you described reminds me of a pet sim where you need to take care of a pet and get sort of a mediocre reward for it. Like I can easily get like 15 morals daily.

well actully its not 15 and in the end they get you food

it takes away your resources so that you can have a better mood you have less food but you will feel less like your alone

The game is meant to make you feel alone, its what adds to the dark gloomy feeling of the game. But i have a pet beefalo trapped in a tree ring

but whats the difference between trapping them and taming them besides the fact that they follow you its pretty much what your doing

I could see adding a leash that allows you to take a specific mob on a walk or maybe tie it to a post. But i couldn't see raising a animal and having them have attributes on how you fed them, and i cant really see competition going well. Chances are i would literally just kill the entire pack.

Chances are i would literally just kill the entire pack.

And THAT, my friends, is why some wolves are endangered. I lol'd when I read that.

As to the idea that your meant to feel alone,

you can get a horde of freakin' pigs to follow you around and do work with you. Hardly what I would call having a sense of being alone.

Speaking of dogs, noticed you can hear dogs bark in the marsh ambient sounds.
