In the later part of the trailer around when Webber made the "thermal axe" and hands it off to Woodie, I noticed that the music sounded vaguely like the scrappy were-pigs music. Klei tends to do a lot of stuff intentionally, so I have to wonder if the "day-walker" will have anything to do with the next update or has some significance shadow side we are not yet aware of. Is it possible they could be an ally down the line or a bigger threat?

If anyone else either heard the bit in the sound track that sounded like it or thought that it could imply something, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter.

I don't know where it was specifically stated, so take this with the huge grain of salt - but I recall seeing somewhere a note that we will run into Daywalker few times during this arcs story.

I swear it was implied somewhere that if we’re getting a boss that does lunar and shadow stuff as like a final boss it’d be daywalker but I cannot for the life of me remember where

I think we might get something similar to Celestial Revenant.
So before the actual main boss fight, you have to defeat other boss, which is the same as the original version but the only difference is that it has planar damage.

So, just like before W.A.R.B.O.T., we have a 1:1 Celestial Champion's first phase, but with planar damage.
So, with the shadow counterpart, we might get a 1:1 Nightmare Werepig, but with planar damage (Horror Werepig?).

I think what you're hearing is the classic menu theme stylized in a playful way as a way of saying "meanwhile, this is also a thing". The part at 0:56 might be a slight transition to show the gland getting picked up.

Something that does seem intentional is that the tower theme sounds like Lunar island's work theme.

Another layer is that the guard tower theme sounds like an accompaniment to the menu theme, which in turn sounds like Frostjaw's. The guard towers are mechanically connected with Frostjaw with their two swipe and lunge attack, but overall the fights end up playing differently with what else comes into play.

The towers might be a realization of some of the original ideas behind Frostjaw with the latter's names and palettes and the intention to become a follower (taunting makes more sense coming from a family of sharks cheering each other on a one-on-one) but needed to be repurposed because it was already released and would be too harsh if the mob could potentially knockback lock you to death if you slip up and pointless if they didn't help each other.
