I think Wurt can have plenty of interactions and new traits visiting an area where the goats seem to be unaffected by the Merm curse. Whether they pity her and allow her to interact with them in ways other characters can't, or they hate her and treat her with increased hostility.

The goats were also part of a huge cooking event, the kinds of dishes you were allowed to cook during the Gorge event trumped the complexity of every dish in the crock pot; instead of being a battle-character where she leads merms into battle, she could instead act her own age and be taken care of by the goats who can cook meals for her and help her out in various ways.

Although you might argue this would make her a new character and closer to Wilba which I would agree with.

Should noted that klei said Wurt wasn't a goat the horns are just a sign of being a guardian merm which is different from normal merm. Between Maxwell's original quote for merms, the fact some merms have normal names and others have more Wurt like names, and the knowledge that Wurt was not originally a merm it's very likely that merms existed before other races began being turned into merms especially since we know turning things into other creatures or forms is a thing.

This would make far more sense for Warly since high class food is his thing and even then this would basically be throwing out all of a character's traits and turning them into a new character rather than building on it.

i think goats replace pigmen too, im not sure tho 

but yeah we have goat bandits with little camps now (they are very similar to the ones we had in gorge)
