I use inline version all the time when i do a petrol boiler, because small packet increase the chance of breaking pipes, but sometimes small packets still get through and i have no idea how. The reservoir seems to be more reliable but unfortunately it require more space.

Pure mechanical like the thread you gave seems impressive too but it also very complex and cost alot more space :D

True, didn't see your post earlier, I ended up using a power shutoff & gas shutoff combo to fix the constant draw and it doesn't take up that much space. sometimes I just end up forgetting the power shutoff exists. The issue with the bypass was because the TR had to have a dead end in order to function. It would take too long to spin up before the packet left its input. I can't remember if that behavior existed 7 years ago, but it's not a problem now that I know how to deal with it. The pure mechanical solution like you were saying, I made a post about it.
