I don’t see it being op, I just seeing it as being a buff to the circuit standby skill which is just a cool gimmick which isnt worth using. It would:

1. Make the range booster circuits do something by increasing the range of auto grabbers.

2. Make the light much better. Your using a Chasis for infinite light and it only works when you are online it’s not op.

3. It would make pigmen and stuff near the Chasis be followers for the Chasis… which should be an exception and not added since it’s just annoying in this case.


There isn’t any practical use cases for this skill as it gets outclassed by mushlights and stuff, gramophone (or the Wagstaff thing), and the d fly furnace and a fridge. Being a personal elastaplaster is the only good thing that doesnt get replaced permantly.

I tried us in this skill once, and it became redundant after someone got a gramophone for the farm since that was the only thing that brought me to using it.

 

Warm standby is kinda just there so you can actually use auto-grabbers without having to manage the inventory of your chassis, which sucks because this skill could be really cool if there were more effects. The light especially sucks and really needs a substantial increase (honestly illumination circuits in general could do with the cone being removed in exchange for a large light radius but thats a different topic entirely). The skill seems fun on pubs if you want to support your team by leaving a chassis with some combination of illumination circuits, a heating/cooling circuit, and a chorusbox circuit.

It doesn’t do anything to auto grabbers besides make the spatialised work.

I mean a whole skill and a Chasis just for a budget way worse dwarf star.

Some of the circuit skills already affect lunar chassis. Chorusbox for example most certainly gives them pig minions (to their detriment :/)

The post is not about the lunar chassis, it's about the warm standby skill that allows inactive chassis with beta circuits to keep the beta circuits running. For example, the refrigeration circuit would keep the -25% spoilage rate in the inventory. Part of the issue with the op's request is that there are a grand total of two different beta upgrades that would be visable. That being the the range boost for the grabbers from rangebooster and a random light beam with illumination circuits. It would be neat to see it be added, but at the same time it would only be those two, with one just kinda looking wrong while active.

No, i'm using beta tinkering I-II and warm standby, range booster is a terrible skill. Replicate the test i did, beta tinkering + warm standby and a line of grass tufts, you'll see i'm not trying to mislead you.
