Okay, hear me out but - Hermit's way of giving quests suck. We need an interact button please to ask her what she'd want from us to do. It takes a lot of time for her to complain about something for players to realize that she wants it done.

I think adding a quest menu would be a mistake. Right now, Pearl’s interactions feel organic and cute specifically because she’s a character expressing her own needs rather than a quest-dispenser. Even with the Pearl she provides for the final boss, putting her requests into a formal UI menu makes her feel like a mandatory task to get out of the way. It turns a genuine moment of connection into a mechanical chore where the player is just checking boxes instead of building a friendship. We should keep it intuitive let the player help because they actually want to, not because the game signaled that helping her is a requirement. If we turn her into a transactional system, we lose all the charm she currently has.
