Increase the required slot cost of the Sonic-Invoker Circuit by one slot to fix the activation conflict with the Blocking Circuit

The Sonic-Invoker Circuit costs 3 slots, while the Blocking Circuit costs 4 slots, allowing both to be equipped on the circuit board simultaneously.


They share a similar control scheme: both are activated by right-clicking the player character, and both force the user to remain stationary without moving.


This regularly leads to frustrating and counterintuitive conflicts when trying to use either ability. For instance, when I need to block Dragonfly’s attack, WX-78 raises its hands, the system prioritizes triggering the Sonic-Invoker Circuit first, and I end up taking unavoidable damage. I must fully finish casting Sonic-Invoker before activating Blocking, or I have to unequip one of the two circuits manually. 


With WX-78’s skill tree already featuring a huge variety of mechanics, I do not believe adding an extra ability wheel just for these two situational active skills is a reasonable solution. Even so, this broken interaction should not be left unaddressed.


I suggest making these two circuits mutually exclusive, so they cannot be equipped at the same time.

 

Raise the Sonic-Invoker Circuit’s slot cost to 4. As reasonable compensation, reduce its skill cooldown from 20 seconds to 15 seconds.

I mean devs could just bind them to hotkeys in settings instead of changing the balance of circuit size just to avoid fixing the dumb character right click implementation

I don't think anyone likes it. Why constrict yourself by it?

I think the suggestion is solid, but it would make more sense to instead force them to be incompatible, or to make them have different keys for activation.

... Or maybe something like... "If you have both of those circuits equipped, then one of them is bound to a different activation button, but they use the default key otherwise."

Since like... Yeah, Gamma circuits need more variety in what you can combine, not less.

There are already far too few viable Gamma Circuit combinations, and this change would only limit builds even further. The core issue is that there are only four Gamma Circuits in total.
To truly make the Gamma slots functional and worthwhile, WX needs to add 2–3 more Gamma options. I really hope the cut/unreleased circuits—such as the Beat Circuit, Parasite Circuit, and Sanity Drain Circuit—can finally be implemented in the future.
