Is DSE created by the developers of the original Don't Starve ?

If you look at the activity of some developers, then their activity became zero after the release of Hamlet...
Some developed other games after Hamlet. By 2021, they also stopped submitting activity.

Can it be considered that Elsewhere is developing the original composition of Hamlet and DS?

Then we can expect a more classic approach to updates and content.
And not just Together 2.

The main thing is that it would not be Together 2.

Honestly I hope it’s a mix of both the devs of DS AND the Devs who worked on DST. Because I have no idea why you think that it can only be one or the other… but both have experience with the franchise and the lore.

And I need to heavily stress that as much as you prefer “Solo DS” there are A LOT of changes that DST has made throughout the years that makes Solo DS feel Highly Outdated.

And I’m talking very specifically about QOL changes that made playing DST superior to Solo DS.

Things such as #1 Global Pause function, DSE is a multiplayer game, so I pray that Klei has global pause in DSE from Day 1.

#2 Quick Craft Tabs, I simply can’t enjoy solo DS scrolling through a long list of craftable items anymore, I like how with DST I can set up my own quick crafting tabs so entire sections can be assigned to things like “light sources” or “Boating Structures” I’m not standing around scrolling through an entire list, it’s a Dpad press or two away. If this isn’t in DSE then Klei has already failed at making the new game superior to DST.

#3 Quick Swap Items (meaning switching between cane & weapon or football helmet & Eyebrella) I don’t need to explain this one any further..

The point is: If your expecting DSE to be made by solo DS devs, then we may miss some of the great things DSTs devs have done with DST.

And I sure as heck don’t want that to end up being the case.
