The shield of terror is good weapon from An Eye for An Eye collaboration for everyday tasks in the game Don't Starve Together. Infinity tool a tool that really helps in the fight against ordinary enemies if you feed him on time

But recently, in my world, I decided to clear out monkey island. One f###ing monkey snatched the shield from my inventory with one blow and took it into his vile hands. As a result, it easily broke this shield.

I think we need to add some way to repair it when it breaks.

I think the shield should drop in a broken state and be unpickable. And if it sits for too long, it will disassemble into its components, like Bernie. The shield can be repaired using a special repair kit, which will be crafted with milky whites. Perhaps this kit could be given a 5-10 day expiration date.

I don't think that weapons from difficult bosses should break so easy.

planar stats

Well the twins are not planar related, but it could very well be an upgrade you can give to it should you choose to keep using it in the late game.

Higher durability is a must, that up to this day I still don't know why it was never reviewed upon. The twins are pretty challenging, the shield should have at least twice the current durability.
Block mechanic and/or dash like in terraria would be an absolute blast. These could also be upgrades.

tone is a little jokey so idk if serious but i think the post is about allowing the shield to be at 0% without disappearing

it is only half serious. on the one hand op knows it can be fed on the other it clearly sounds like they havent been keeping it fed well enough for it to survive(unless they were in the middle of using it which doesnt make sense unless their invo is entirely empty given that monkey's steal from left to right). my incredulity comes from not having thought this needed the upgrades that op demands since keeping food in your invo keeps the shield at high health nearly always. much like eyebrella or lazy explorer general maintenance should be the rule

The Twins could be planar-related. They're from Terraria's hardmode, which is when the ancient spirits of light and dark (sound familiar?) get released into the world. Since they drop Souls of Sight and one of them breathes cursed fire while the other shoots lasers, I'm gonna say they're lunar-aligned because that's all on theme. There is also the thing where Terraria's final boss is the Moon Lord.

Yeah summoning them during the open rifts period could make them harder, and if you beat them, give an upgraded shield in return.

Although the summoning itself is made with nightmare fuel in DST. I’m not sure if that would be too weird?

Good point, actually. I forgot somehow about the nightmare fuel.
