They can’t do hotfixes as fast because microsoft. They can still do controller support on PC so it doesn’t seem nessisary to do xbox

ok, so please bear with me but i am not seeing your reason for why it would be a "waste of time" only reasons why it would be inconvenient. the value of beta-testing on a platform the game is coming to is much larger than slow updates and smaller (but still profitable) returns.

bringing it back on topic though, it is a bummer that they havent beta-tested on consoles in the past and people probably will talk about it negativly.

They won’t be able to release the updates and hotfixes fast enough.

Not much people would end up using it too

(Note: I have made statements that have no reviewed data, so take what I say as anecdotal and a personal opinion rather than a factual statistical argument for or against Early Access.)

No what you've said is only facts, gamers ruin games if developers get tricked into listening to them. Whenever I buy a new game there is like a 90% chance that I wasted my money because the devs instantly change the game into something completely different because they don't know that every game gets criticized at launch no matter how good it is. Back 4 Blood sucks now. Orcs Must Die: Deathtrap sucks now. Payday 3 sucks now. Marathon sucks now. Borderlands 4 sucks now. I wish Steam would let you refund games past the 2 weeks / 2 hour period if they got huge changes and became unrecognizable from the thing you bought. I would have several hundred dollars if they let me do that.

Mind you Payday 3 has always sucked but at least it did some things right, while now after player "feedback" it's all just mid or outright bad recreations of stuff from previous games in a game that was not built around those things at all.

The concern of Early Access making the game worse over time is very understandable. However, I personally think an Early Access would be fine to have, but Klei NEEDS to put their foot down when it comes to game design decisions.

If they have a specific vision of the kind of game they want Don't Starve Elsewhere to be, they should outright deny or ignore any suggestions that do not align with said vision.

As for us, the players, we need to accept that we're only there to play and make sure the intended content works as it's supposed to.
