Nutribrick is decent. And it doesn’t need to be more than that for its stage in the game. But I think it could play a slightly different role than it currently does, that would make it more appealing as a food source.

As it is now, you get 1 nutribrick for 5/4/3 rot (or spoiled food with the gamma perks). This will restore as much hunger as a cooked juicy berry.

On the other hand, that same rot could fertilize juicy berry bushes to produce 9 times the hunger. Its pretty easy to see the inefficiency here.
I propose that it be changed to produce nutribricks as a refund for overeating, to improve the value of hunger spent to make this non-spoiling source.

The simplest way would be dividing the amount you overeat by 2x the nutribrick’s hunger value, rounded down. This would essentially get half the value back from overeating, ex: A meaty stew eaten at 0 hunger with base stats woulf give back 1 brick.

Tinkering perk would have to be changed, but I think this would make it feel a lot better to use (also easier to make bricks in bulk: large meals would give them all in a batch)

So yea let me know what yall think

I like the nutribricks as is and would not like to see the change you are asking for. Would you get more hunger from fertilizing a juicy berry bush? Yes, but you would also need to wait for the plants to grow which is a considerable amount of time. You can also use the perk as it is to turn non-food sources of rot into food. You can gather lightbulbs, foliage, or even petals and wait for them to rot (or nearly rot) before processing them. There are also some quickly rotting foods that you can take advantage of to generate nutribricks like lichen. I like the gamma circuit perk that lets it work on spoiled food in addition to rot.

One thing that would be really bad if you generated nutribricks from overating is the fact that it is common to overeat healing foods in a boss fight. Getting locked into a lengthy animation for doing so would not be a good thing if you are in active combat.

Also this is unrelated, but I like the nutribricks mostly for the fuel value. They are very convenient to light firepits or fuel flingos with.

would be funnier if they made it WX poo. :D  say he has 90% efficiency in his eating, so 10% of the food value he eats gets added to a total until it hits the nutritional value of a nutri-brick and when he hits that threshold, he drops a brick and makes other people eat it.
