Base stats, health, hunger, and shock damage have all been nerfed. All of these nerfs to WX-78’s base kit should be reverted.
 
If there’s an issue with the skill tree, then adjust the skill tree. The skill tree should be an optional extra for the character—players can choose, “I want this part,” or “I’m more interested in that part.” It shouldn’t work the way it does now, by stripping away existing core gameplay first.
 
Isn’t there a portion of players who simply aren’t interested in the skill tree? For them, this change is forcing them to give up fundamental parts of how the character plays.
 
A common argument is that because we have more slots, Circuits should be weaker. That logic doesn’t hold up. Six flexible, customizable slots are core to WX-78’s identity, and the number of slots we actually use hasn’t meaningfully increased. If a player only runs three Hardy Circuits or three speed Circuits and ignores everything else, the extra rows add nothing for them.
 
If nerfs really are necessary for balance and distinction, here’s a better approach:
 
  • Reduce all Circuits to 1/3 effectiveness by default
  • Add three rows of general-purpose slots
  • Keep full-power effects locked to their corresponding specialized slots
  • Rework the skill tree to let players convert a default row into a specialized one
 
This way, players who aren’t focused on Circuit upgrades can still invest in drones and QoL improvements without losing the core gameplay they enjoyed.
 
Or more directly: just revert WX-78 itself. At this point, it simply wouldn’t cause any issues.

I agree with the nerf, but against being forced to accept it.

We should have the right to choose it,extra slots, or base stats; 50 health, or 5 armor.

I think the stat adjustments should happen when the character is fully released (which is what's happening now around the alpha circuit). We only just got the gamma circuits, we haven't gotten affinity yet. What kind of balance can we even talk about if we don’t even know how strong and influential future circuits might be?

I like the changes to the base stats, but I agree that the changes to basekit circuits should be reverted. 2 skill points should not be required to bring Super-Gastrogain to its main branch counterpart, it should've been nerfed to 20>30>40 or 20>25>35. Super-Hardy circuits should either have their DR returned to 10% or their health buff returned to 150. Beanbooster's shield should take less than 15 seconds to give 1 point of reduction (maybe 1 every 3 seconds but there's a 30s charge up period when damage is taken?).
