The recent WX-78 changes are... not great. in this post I'll be covering the circuit nerfs as those are what concern me more. the nerfs (if you can even call them that. it's more of a murder if you ask me.) are not only unnecessary, but also far too severe. the entire alpha circuit list got nerfed to the ground. Gastrogain had its hunger drain reduction effect be lowered to 20% after picking the circuit upgrades. this change means you now need 3 circuits to achieve the effect you'd have with one previously, and for what purpose? the circuit was never broken or anything, you could extend the time you need to go before eating but starving is one of the last things you worry about in this game! this wouldn't even affect newer players as you need to scan Slurpers or Bearger for it! who asked for this? who is this helping? Hardy and Processing got similar treatment, with the latter's sanity drain being lowered to 25%. again. with the skilltree. not much to say here outside of the same things as gastrogain. the Illumination circuit, too, got nerfed in this update, having its light radius be lowered so severely you now need 4 or them get a good radius back. at that point you may as well just equip the Optoelectronic circuit, as it uses the same number of slots and gives complete vision, without a filter with the new skilltree. I understand the optoelectronic was lacking, but why nerf the illumination to the ground!? it creates *less* variety! Why nerf the better item to make the completely outclassed one viable??? it's just as easy to give the optoelectronic circuit a notable side effect! maybe more range? enemy highlights? something! I just don't get it... ^^^ Illumination range with FOUR circuits equipped. Electric circuit got its damage lowered from 90 per 3 circuits on a wet enemy to... 75... Why? Besides the hunger circuit and Beanbooster, these nerfs are extremely minor. Sainity circuit is basically the exact same as before. They made the Sainity dapperness boost less. They didn’t touch the Sainity drain reduction which is misinformation. Health circuit changes dont do that much. Illumination circuit change I could barely tell it was nerfed. I don’t get why everyone seems to be extremely over exaggerating stuff. The electric circuit arcs now deal damage. So really people are saying WX was murdered over his hunger circuit slowing hunger drain less and Beanbooster being nerfed? Baark0 Posted April 4 Share Posted April 4 People think the night vision circuit is bad? Was the pre-nerf illuminant circuit's range like 75% of the screen or something? I don't see how anyone could consider it bad otherwise, permanent night vision is incredibly good, especially when paired with the new rangebooster circuits.
