Maxil20
Iām genuinely really curious how a bug like this exists. The only possible shot in the dark I can think of is something related to cloud saving, where the data isnāt properly synced and overwrites the ānewā data with the āoldā data from a past session. I genuinely canāt think of something else if the game is still doing things like saving and the like normally, and it doesnāt sound like it would be a crash issue (much less one that removes several hours of progress, since DST saves every 8 minutesā¦) 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/169567-dst-world-days-resetting/#findComment-1849437 Share on other sites

The rollback feature was one of the main culprits. Turning off auto sync helped me a lot and I back up my save manually but it would still happen occasionally. One of the biggest differences between PS4 and PS5 is that the PS5 version actually autosaves a lot more, not just at the start of each day. It saves really frequently, I often notice the save icon after I cook at crockpots.Ā One of the tests I would use to check if my game is saving properly is entering and exiting caves. Not sure about other platforms, but on ps5 it always autosaves when you switch between the surface and caves. So you could tell if the game has stopped saving as the save icon wouldnāt appear at all. This is when Iād disconnect from the server and restart the game to see where it actually last saved and how many days I may have lost before noticing. Unfortunately, lots of people were losing days and days of progress. There are also plenty of other scenarios where people hadnāt used the rollback feature, entered the caves or died and the game still rolled their saves back tens of days. The worst for me was over 40 days. š TL;DR - This has been happening for the past 3 months to lots of ps5 players. Thankfully, a new update just came out today which seems to have resolved the issue. Hopefully it works for everyone but we shall wait and see. š¤š¼ Edited January 22 by sharkyaya Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/169567-dst-world-days-resetting/#findComment-1849649 Share on other sites
