I recently defeated Celestial Champion for the first time with another player, and missed the original chance to give Wagstaff the enlightened shard because I didn't want to trigger the lunar portals without them (they were currently offline, and that felt like a rude surprise to come back to).

Unfortunately, it's been a little bit and so far we've been unable to find him again. I've been told he's supposed to reappear on the mainland, but I don't know how long it typically takes, or if there's something I'm missing. I REALLY don't want to fight CC again, the fight took me an hour of re-tries and burned through all of my thulecite crowns as well as a magiluminescence. If it is relevant in any way, I am playing as Wanda and the other player on the world is Wilson. We are playing on Xbox One, so I can't use console commands to summon Wagstaff in.

Any help would be appreciated, I'd prefer if all of our work wasn't for nothing! :p

You do have to fight CC so the version of Wagstaff that has the Lunar Essence Extractor appears again :wilson_dead:

At least that means you will have a crown for each player

The wiki says "If Wagstaff was not given an Enlightened Shard after the Celestial Champion fight, he and the Lunar Essence Extractor show up randomly throughout the world, giving players another chance to give him an Enlightened Shard and activate Lunar Rifts without having to fight Celestial Champion again"

You ARE guaranteed to have that version of him spawning after you kill Celestial Champion though, so if you can't find it, it will be your best bet

Dang, all right. I guess I'll have to do some resource collection to stock up on nightmare fuel. I just wish I'd have known beforehand that you need to give it to him within a limited time frame.

You can go to the setting page before starting your server and turn rifts on. Once you do (and start the server), they'll be permanently enabled meaning that turning them off again in the settings has no effect. If you want to be super clean destroy the enlightened shard you would normally give to Wagstaff in a scaled furnace.
