The fire nettles should still warm you when they're dried. Spices and such get more potent as they get dried, so arguably it should also warm you longer/higher, but for the balance of infinite shelf life it'd be fine to stay the same warmth as a normal fire nettle.

(I wasn't sure of it was a bug or not that they don't warm you so I just put it here)

Oh dang, them being able to give heat while dried sounds like a really interesting heating route. I myself always liked dragon chili salad for this, so it's neat to see another avenue to achieve a similar feature!

Previously, there existed a niche playstyle of using Fire Nettle Fronds’ warming effect to survive winter. However, due to their short shelf life and inability to be stored in the Polar Bearger Bin, it remained more of a novelty strategy.

Now, with dried Fire Nettle Fronds having an infinite shelf life and being accessible early-game, this change will significantly enhance their practicality.

That said, the advantage of Chef Warly is further diminished. The Hot Dragon Chili Salad is excessively costly—dragon fruit and chili peppers have misaligned growing seasons and a low harvest probability, not to mention the dish deducts 3 health upon consumption. I hope Klei will consider compensating Warly in future updates.

There was an old post about Warly that I still really like, but the general gist for the temperature dishes was for their duration to be doubled (from 5 to 10 minutes), and for Warly to double the dish duration again (from 10 to 20 minutes). I myself really like using chili salad as my heat source (give or take the last 10K days on my megabase world, I've probably relied on chili salad for heat for 90+% of the time), but I do agree it's very situational early on and only really shines as a hyper late game enabler/luxury. I hope it can be considered when they do work on his tree as a base addition (similar to how Walter/Winona got a few base kit additions/tweaks).

might be true, however remember you can mass produce chili salad much better then nettles , which requires rng and seed gathering.

Fruit Flies can help us quickly establish a Fire Nettle field—just till the soil, wait for them to sow the seeds, and have a sleep-inducing tool ready.
