Piekam
Okay, quick and simple- If we got some buffs, like passive healing, sanity regeneration or slower hunger drain, when our base looks pretty, i dont know and cant talk for other players, but for me personally, a guy who adores making my bases in games pretty, even if it was some minor buffs, would make the game 10x better for me... Klei, if you are seeing this, i beg you- Add the mechanic from Uncomb, of storing low durability tools to wardrobes, giving them one more use, for people that dont usually use them to change their favourite character skins- it just makes so much sense... As for how you could implement base detection for the decor system, i know its not as easy as it seems, but adding a tag to turfs that were "placed/replanted" by the player, which have some kind of decor or structure ON them, i think it would work really nicelly. Furthermore, while i like the idea of Hermit's decor being exclusive to the area around her house, i just hope one day we could buy blueprints, or sketches like for a pottery wheel, where you can feed them to the sawhorse, making you able to craft the lamp posts and stuff alike for your own base. The thing about the update that i like the most, is the detection of items laying on the ground around the Crabby's Home, which lowers the decor value. Its a small and annoying thing for her quests, of course... but it opens a gate for so many opportunities for the player- How many times i had to sort our chests, pick up 1% axes from the ground because my friends didnt care about them littering the place, not even acknowledging the mechanic of scaled furnace now being able to dispose of them- It would be so so great, for me specifically, to nudge them in this wardrobe or scaled furnace direction, so we would finally have a pretty, clean base, where i can spend ours building the perfect home for our crew, and in return we all would have something passivelly making it worth the while... Sorry for making this post so long, i just wanted to share my thoughts with all of the other players and the developers. My passion and love towards this game keeps on growing with every new update, big or small... and i hope you all can understand how much those changes would mean to me, hope to see some of them added in the future, thank you, and Happy Winter's Feast! 4 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/169016-base-decor-changes/ Share on other sites

He means players could get some currency by doing this. And then using such currency to buy somewhat deco blueprints. So as to encourage players keep their base tidy. A little bit like UM. But UM punishs players, he tends to encourage players. twitchgabo
Grounded 1 has a nice coziness system where the player has reduced hunger drain while within the base. They can also unlock exclusive recipes for decoration when reaching some coziness levels. I wish Klei could implement something similar to this. It has a lot of inventory space, however you can only store tools and armor in it and some other unstackable items.
