Most live service game i played have Q&A from time to time to answer some hot / most wanted questions, would be cool if klei have time to answer some community questions that we always asked.

(it also makes the waiting less painfull)

would be nice to have them either do a Q&A or a livestream sometime. Its felt like its been a while since they have done a livestream. I remember they used to do them right before announcing Betas and would showcase and explain a bunch of the design decisions they made and why. Maybe they are still doing this and my source of hearing about them has changed? Not sure but more communications is always appreciated by me

I wouldn’t really call DST a “live service” game, at least not one that can be compared to the likes of Fortnite, Skate, Fallguys.

To me DST is simply just a game that’s still getting Developer support & updates, but because those updates have decreased (were literally waiting 6 months or more at a time now..) Can you really even still call DST a “Live Service” game?

For a game to be considered Live Service I think it has to frequently be receiving new content.. you know- the stuff that keeps the game “alive” hence the word “Live Service” cause once patches, new content & Dev support concludes it’s usually considered a “Dead Game” by players & a “Finished Game” by Developers.

Gotham Knights Hasn’t gotten an update in years, can that still be counted as “Live Service”?

Meanwhile: Fortnite, Skate, Fallguys etc get frequent new updates, map changes, shop skins, etc.

With all that said: I thought Klei’s Rhymes with Play streams was for the Q&A?

I believe live service is mostly dependent on how revenue is generated. Cosmetics or Subscriptions are the predominant sources of revenue then it is likely considered a live service game. That's how I see it mostly.

they do streams usually when updates release nowadays, and - although there has been a change in the air this year, i remember them being a lot more thorough in the Ancient Echoes stream - they didnt usually tend to explain the "why"s on a lot of things

we never got a post-update stream for the skill tree update this year... i will never get to see that concept art :cower:
