I’m less towards the massive destruction as that seems more useful to griefers than to survivors as it’s timed and costly. But maybe instead, incinerating certain combos of items can provide special effects. Like 4 gunpowder causes a flare and cannon like effects, while 4 manure would reduce sanity by like 5. And attempting to incinerate something very valuable like an enlightened crown or bone armor would punish you in a way like set you on fire, as a way to alert people of that and to discourage throwing away hard work.
