Don’t most walls not take fire damage already? Or are they just not flammable?

stone walls are not flammable, i am not sure if they take fire damage. wood and grass walls burn right up though

mostly i am just a filthy basebuilder and just want scale walles. personally they could be eyeplant levels of flammable and i would still want them

No other walls but grass and wood can burn or take fire damage.

What's the purpose of scale walls? To prevent them from burning or to make them look pretty? If you want to build a beautiful, fire-resistant base, I think an oasis would be a good choice. It's empty anyway, and the structures don't catch fire. If you're thinking about walls, I think it's easier to make a scale shell for stone walls (or other fire-resistant walls). And it's expensive to craft. You'll have to kill a fly several times to make a bunch of walls or use the scaly floor and destruction staff trick, but that's also expensive. In general, I personally don’t see the point in this...

Speaking of using scales, I think you could make scale armor out of them, which prevent you from not burning.

i just want more building options and scales only have two recipes. it's nothing deeper than that. the hope was that others might also be interested but with only two votes i am pretty sure there is none

Well, I'll be honest, I also love building beautiful structures, but I don't think adding walls solves the problem like skins do. But I want to share several idea: in some Hamlet mod for DST, there's a chance to get a fountain recipe as a decoration after defeating Scarecrow. I really liked this idea, so I'm thinking we could add something like the fountain from Hamlet as a decoration.

- I'd also suggest adding a pedestal on which you can place an item, as is often the case in ancient ruins.

- I'd also suggest adding banners. These are like tribal marks, as is often the case in wild tribes.

- I'd also suggest adding decorative bushes that can be carved into different structures, like in Hamlet.

I think that's the direction we need to think.
