Digital Millenium Copyright Act (i think)

In practical terms, it's a legal mechanism that facilitates copyright owners to enforce takedowns of online-hosted content under suspicion of copyright infringement. What the thing going on here is, probably, is the fact that the DMCA was setup to strongly favor copyright holders' rights, making it real easy for takedown requests to get made (and enforced) which means that there's no shortage of requests made under false pretenses.

Well, it's not impossible that something copyrighted could be in here but I'm with you on not knowing what on earth it could be.

Also I'm am not a lawyer, so someone can correct me if I'm wrong. This is essentially a summary of my understanding based on casual observation of the DMCA takedown phenomenon happening over the past decades.

As a heads up, there’s a good chance this DMCA is falsely reported as the previous comment implied. My friend recently had a similar thing occur on a mod, and literally all it did was make it so you can add celestial jewels to the telelocator focus while preventing them from being destroyed if used in that way.
