After turning on grid assist, buildings cannot be placed at the center of the land and grid assist cannot be optimized.

@JanH

Do you have anyone beta test this stuff on Switch?

This is a step in the right direction but I think one massive improvement might be making ZL the function button instead of L.

ZR goes into menu and ZL+ZR opens the crafting menu.

Then you dont even need to remove the L and R map rotation functions.

The new analog camera rotating is a little weird. I dont see a reason to remove it as is, but an option for the 45 degree rotation would be nice.

An aiming reticle for all the staves, fiery pen, weatherpain etc would be helpful as well but that would take some additional adjustment since they also auto target.

Targeting still needs to be adjusted so you can, for example, lock onto wovens during AV, lockon to creatures in a fenced pen, toads mushtrees etc.

I will play with the controls a bit more but my first impression is that the current implementation might not be very attractive to players like me, and others will see it as too complicated to switch to for lazy explorer and wortox aiming.

Maybe even potentially letting us assign which button we want as a modifier button and modifier options but I understand that's not a simple change.

Although I was very excited about the introduction of grid alignment, I turned it off shortly after trying it for the first time.

Because the structure and its surrounding grid are at the same bright opacity, it’s impossible to see anything else around it. So using this feature to align structures to anything around them is impossible because nothing will be distinguishable compared to the maddeningly bright structure and its grid.
