So, as we know the shoevel still has no real use outside being a longer lasting shovel/hoe. 

Now consider, the new hail effect causing a pile of hail to build up and cause grazer gestalts to spawn by it. And you have to dig the pile of hail shards away like the SW rock piles.

It doesn't have to be grazers, it could even be a new enemy. But the point is it would be enough of an issue you have to dig the pile away because they're annoying.

I'm thinking more something like that but maybe they could develop in rocky biomes? Maybe some crystaline structures, infesting rocky biomes with new alien flora. I think idea of hail is cool, but buildup kinda seems meh. I feel like it should select and affect certain biome, if it depletes of resources mostly then it would move to infest another, making a buildup of crystals and moonrock.

I feel like current updates don't actually make lunar side to feel actually "alien" enough, only mutating some bosses and scion exist. Lunar and celestial stuff I think should be stranger and some ways scarier.

i was thinking of something like that too.. what if the hail is not attacking one people surrounding, but randomly in map with some peculiar detection when its invested in the biome its act like core that need to be mined away. or else if the core become big it will be a annoying area like invested with gesalt-like creature and breed special kind of mobs which is not worthy to kill but pretty annoying to keep around. and more time u let it grow the core spread, means you need to mine more core to clear the area back to what it used to.. :apthy:
while it dont destroying structure but build up around it ..so maybe it can invest your base 8-)

I think this is the best suggestion for adding "danger" back to the Lunar Hail event, and 50x more engaging than just adding back the random chip damage. Could essentially be like a brightshade event, except spawned on a nearby structure or tree that accumulated too much hail, or maybe similar spawning mechanics to pengulls appearing, appearing in a random nearby open space.

them appearing near you would be nice as a obstacle if u fight
