gigamoi Posted July 10, 2025 Share Posted July 10, 2025 It's difficult to diagnose your problem with just the elements you shared but I think your problem might be caused by the hydrogen. The "Chilly Surroundings" debuff is caused not by temperature itself but by how fast heat drains from the duplicant, which depends on both temperature and conductivity of the surrounding material. In hydrogen, the lower limit for unclothed duplicants is 31.78C. KittenIsAGeek Posted August 12, 2025 Share Posted August 12, 2025 (edited) Another thing to look at is the "Thermal Tolerance" section of the "Temperature Overlay." The more blue an area is, the quicker the dupe will get chilled. The more red, the quicker they'll get overheated or scalding. In the screen below, the mouse pointer is over the air in a slightly warm but still comfortable part of my base. The blue cloud above the generators is hydrogen, while the rest of the air in that area is oxygen -- but it is all the same temperature (40f, 4.5C). The hydrogen will cool a dupe more quickly. The blue spots near the two dupes is some spilled brine at 79f (26C). The dupes can get chilled from liquids that are the same temperature as the air, even though the air is slightly red.
