It was a cool thought, to increase immersion through haptic feedback. The recent changes have had the opposite effect though. It's tuned waay too high, with too much frequency. It irritates hand muscles, and causes physical pain and discomfort. It also has pretty drastic effects on the battery life. The only reasonable option we have is to turn off all vibration.

Yeah I turned off all the vibrations entirely.. but if Klei cared at all we would have settings to toggle the vibrations of each thing we do and we do not want to vibrate manually.

For example: I think it’s “cool” for the controller to vibrate when plucking grass, or when Deerclops stomps about nearby.

it is NOT COOL for it to intensely vibrate when standing near a Campfire or every single time you jump on or off a boat.

I thought this was a bug at first tbh. I agree completely, the vibration has been way overtuned now. Why should being by a fire feel like bearger is near? Maybe they could add toggles for which objects to cause vibration, but I think it would be easier to only have vibration for world events like it used to be. As of now, I had to turn off vibration, which I don’t like doing because I feel like it added so much to the immersion before.
