I think they will steal any item that’s considered edible, but that includes items that can be eaten by various mobs. They shouldn’t steal an amulet or armor, but they could go for resources like gems, logs, etc. It seems like they mostly want to steal meat from players’ inventories though. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/166676-why-marotters-are-so-good-and-if-you-hate-them-why-it-is-a-good-thing/page/2/#findComment-1824539 Share on other sites
Hollow soul 3
They're crazy handy. Food and jars that come to you If you want to have 12 for two full stacks of souls in your inventory, it's definitely the way to go Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/166676-why-marotters-are-so-good-and-if-you-hate-them-why-it-is-a-good-thing/page/2/#findComment-1824574 Share on other sites

Plus even fighting them is easy, they don't do that much damage, and their attack period is basically as long as that of beefaloes, any character with ~50 damage weapon will only have to dodge one attack (not counting the first when they come towards you) if fighting a single marrotter. FillerText
They're just an inconsequential enemy I hit with a torch so they don't try to steal my stuff. Adding any form of a silly and happy jester anywhere in the game can do that. but it does not mean that it is in the right position and is the atmosphere shaping needed for the game. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/166676-why-marotters-are-so-good-and-if-you-hate-them-why-it-is-a-good-thing/page/2/#findComment-1824867 Share on other sites
