Besides the constant bugs and glitches in the game (and the roaming virus on the servers), what characters do you like in the various mods? What do you like about them? Are they hard to play? Does it fit with the vanilla gameplay? For example, let's take the Adventure Island mod, the character Woodlegs, I like the pirate pronunciation (the sound he makes when he speaks) and his pirate ship. It gives the mod an interesting interaction with vanilla DST while sailing at sea.

Personally, I like the character Spider Queen from the Myth Character mod (I don't know her name). She's basically like Webber, she can tame spiders, but she can do it either by giving them meat or by turning her into a spider queen, and I really like that. It gives her a kind of authority over them, and also her spider style. She can also create something like a web, which she can quickly move from one point to another. She can also climb on the ceiling of giant trees and caves, which makes it possible to create something like a spider base. She has no skills, i.e. she is like an old character without skill trees. Because of some of her simplifications, I also install additional mods that complicate or expand the game, such as the Tropical Adventure or No Compromise mod.

Maybe I'll take note of something from you)

I like wheeler, she's fast and can dodge attacks but has less inventory space, though due to her dash being tied to a mouse button it becomes hard to use items with special action on that same button. Overall though I don't like playing modded characters

Bearger from Reign of Runts:

First of all, they're cute: burger.gif.ebf7170b3bebe6b3dc9368a8f2f82372.gif

Second of all, their RMB has no business being as good as it is.

Unlocked from the moment you play you can use it to uproot stumps, harvest resources like grass, berries, and twigs without causing harm to anything else like structures (basically making it a hyper-buffed version of the shadow reaper), and (kinda) chop trees. Did I mention this was all AOE?

With a single click you can instantly harvest a stack of planted grass, making it so all you have to do is pick it up, skipping the tedious task of picking each. individual. tuft.

The RMB also gives you i-frames so with a properly-timed click you can just become invincible, animation cancel it before it registers and get some extra attacks in while also avoiding the cooldown you'd normally have if you let the attack go through normally.

Third of all, they have such high insulation that you can go throughout the entirety of winter by just burning one tree a day, no thermal stone or extra insulation required. However, this can work against you during the summer, making it unbearable even with an eyebrella and luxury fan.

Forth of all, they can use fur tufts (things they regularly shed whenever you use the RMB ability) to repair clothing; this isn't as good as the other perks but I thought i'd mention it since instantly repairing a 13% thermal stone back to full with a single piece of hair feels ridiculous to me lol.

Fifth of all, during Hibearnation Season (winter and spring unless you get that one skill tree perk), they can lift heavy objects like they're Wolfgang, skipping the beefalo process when it comes to transporting the lunar altar pieces / chess pieces.

Do you still play him? I mean, even after all the updates and the addition of the skill tree, is he still interesting to you?

This is my first time playing with them (or character mods in general) but yes!

Their perks remain solid throughout the entirety of the game and they feel almost like Woodie, but if he only had his work-related perks (ignoring the spammable RMB with i-frames).
Saving so much time on these otherwise tediously long tasks feels broken to me (but to be fair, I'm the type of player who likes grinding for resources and chopping trees)

I haven't used their shadow or lunar affinities yet but their shadow perk (allowing them to easily chop fully-grown trees in only 2 slams and spawn shadow tentacles) seems really good, the lunar perk giving their slam a longer wind-up but having no cooldown while also being ranged seems ok to me but again, I haven't tried it yet.

It's really cool when an old character mod is still interesting and relevant to you :) I remember this mod. It seems to be almost from the very beginning of DST, so I consider it a legendary mod)
