The Moon branch in Don't Starve Together turned out to be very long and complicated compared to the Shadow branch. For the Moon branch, you need to do a lot of things: you need to activate the archives, appease the Pearl, defeat the King Crab, find the Moon Island, collect all three altars, then you need to defeat the Celestial Champion, defeat three mutated titans and finally defeat the last boss in the Moon branch.

As for the Shadow branch, you need to defeat the guardian, defeat the shadow chess, defeat the werewolf pig, collect and defeat the revived skeleton in the atrium and activate the rifts. At the moment, that's basically it.

And at this point, I would like to suggest increasing the shadow branch. Judge for yourself how much work needs to be done in order to activate the rifts in the shadow and how much for the moon branch. Naturally, the moon branch has a large volume, unlike the shadow branch, where you need to take four steps before activating the rift. In increasing the volume of the shadow branch, I suggest expanding the content after activating the rifts before you need to defeat the last boss of the shadow branch. For example, add some kind of riddle, like in the archives (you can make a riddle like with a chest in the ruins with six cells to get a thulecite skin for a cane) or collect ancient shadow mechanisms, as it was in Don't Starve with Maxwell's portal, or actually collect this portal so that it does not transfer you, but on the contrary, transfers something to you.

In general, in my opinion, the shadow branch needs to be expanded and lengthened so that the content of the shadow and moon branches is more or less uniform.

P.S.: By the way, I would like to note that it seems to me that some hints need to be added to the game so that it would be possible to obtain the blueprints of ancient relics located in the ruins, which can be obtained in an ancient chest with six cells. Otherwise, apart from Wiki, you will not find out anywhere how to get them, not counting the ancient chair of course.

The main issue I see with the shadow side is it's restricted to an underdeveloped shard, making the planar enemies completely made of shadows. I'd personally love to see the shadows leaking into the surface and dragging freshly deceased creatures down.
