I think the armor choices are fine, the issue is that Warly doesn’t have great options for managing his lunacy. It’s been an issue since CC but I don’t think beefalo + bhelm would be a great idea for either of these fights.

Hopefully Warly’s skilltree adds good sanity-reducing food; ideally something that kept it zeroed out for a long period of time. Heap of Foods added void mayo which reduced sanity over time. Was perfect for Warly because wasn’t affected by food memory.

Out of curiosity, couldn’t you just use the grim galette when your health gets low?

Yeah hence the above-mentioned “massochist grim galette.” Not my fav option for fighting high damage bosses for reasons!
