The more I think about it, the weirder it is that Wagstaff is just gone.

Well, let me clarify. I think the choice of having him vanish is absolutely bloody awesome. I'm glad to see actions having consequences.
What I don't get, however, is only going about halfway through with changing his interactions when he's gone.

Even *with* the player operated versions, half the events don't make all that much sense.

  • No Wagstaff to give out blueprints if people join Post-Scion worlds. How do new players join in on Moonstorms?
  • No one to stop CC. It just... keels over and dies on its own. Wagstaff isn't here to stop it from reforming this time.
  • The Warbot seemingly just reappears.
  • Statics can be finished by players but... who's starting them?
  • The weirdest one is the Mutated bosses just suddenly dropping Spark Arks. That one's really odd...

Now, some of these were changed, like the later half of Warbot's set up, the the players being able to finish the static quest, but it leads to me asking how/why these are re-appearing. I love the decision of changing them to be player operated, but I feel they could go a bit further.
Maybe do things like slightly edit the CC ending with the energy retreating to the sky, or letting the survivors Encapsulate it, or akin.
Give a way to place down and start the Static minigame yourself.
Not... sure what to do with Warbot, but the idea is there.

I'm aware doing all these events post-scion is most likely non-canon, but going partly into changing them left me feeling unsatisfied.

i'd be really cool if you could get some of wagstaff's mad science blueprints, and you could make all the stuff he's made along the way like the static capsules and stuff. it could be a new type too, so it's reusable and everyone can learn them without going through much trouble :]
