You can fight it again. It simply respawns like a usual raid boss, in 20 days.

Spoiler

Once Wagstaff is Banished, the player will be able to place the captured gestalts as the drones for the fight, and give the essence of the revenant directly to WARBOT to power it. The fight proceeds as usual, other than an alternative death animation given Wagstaff no longer exists.

Not everyone can test as not everyone is on pc or has the time for it

If you don't have time to test, it's better not to answer at all—just wait for testers' conclusions instead of jumping to wrong assumptions.

It would seem that we can’t

Mistakes are a backbone of society and I am better off for making this mistake and learning

But if wagstaff is gone, how can you redo the moonstorm-event to gather a restrained static?

Player will be able to active static in moonstorm even though there is no Wagstaff you can still give tools to static (in any order) and catch storm

They should also make every planar boss like deerclops bearger varg drop spark ark even when the same boss is killed in a row many times. All quests should be made easier after Wagstaff is gone to justify even killing The last lunar boss

that is like prime example of 0 thoughts behind some of the designs, as if they completely forgot about pre-existing mechanics and went all out with new ideas. Where does the restrained static device come from if theres no wagstaff to bring it with him? Who actually needs the tools we provide? It's just sooo dumb god damn I HOPE there's something to take his place or maybe catching the storm works differently now on the dev build, maybe we catch it with a new device without the minigame? Also, how is defeating CC going to work without wagstaff "finishing his experiment"? Like please let us have something in wagstaff's place that at least makes it easier to farm CC and resources for the summoning as an addition to the lackluster reward from the actual "final" lunar boss.

Also what about the spark arks? Do they just appear out of thin air for no reason at corrupted bosses' death? Since it was wagstaff giving them to us as a reward, there is nothing now that provides them

Yup this works exactly how you texted arks are just dropping from air when boss is killed

CC body falls immediately, Scrap fences are renewed even though Wagstaff is not leading you to junkyard

It's called "Gameplay-Story Segregation" or "Gameplay Trumps Flavor" you can choose which one you prefer.

It's a pretty normal thing in gaming. Sometimes you just need to separate things to make the game still function.

In this case, Wagstaff is part of a storyline that works perfectly fine when going through it linearly, but going through it again and again messes things up, so just chalk it up to gameplay being more important than flavor and leave it at that. It's not like Wagstaff needed you to kill the Celestial Champion multiple times anyways.
