In its current iteration, this boss is way too finicky and unforgiving, making a single mistake can ruin the *entire* fight. If you mess up once and it covers the hunks of W.A.R.B.O.T to take cover from the supernova attack its becomes impossible to win anymore. Not only do I find this incredibly punishing, its anti multiplayer since the constant juggling of aggro makes it easier to mess up the lunar fissure attack. I know not everything should be dumbed down to be easier but I'm genuinely at a loss at what I should do for this fight, I tried doing the corner strategy, but sometimes the scion will randomly dash to the middle and do a fissure attack. I hope this gets changed in the future or new strategies prop up to mend the difficulty, for now it feels unfair.

PLEASE god damn let us have ONE hard boss in the game, if a final boss is beatable by going in blind first time, its not worth being a final boss, I'm glad we finally got something like AFW where it really is hard for someone who doesn't have hunderds of hours in the game and IS borderline unbeatable first-try without any knowledge of his behaviour

afw is unbeatable in a good way, you need to figure out how to shut down his 3 gimmic while dealing dmg. He isnt deadly in all means (his head swipe dmg is slow and not that high) and the player can even escape if they need to. the penalty of not able to figure it out is just fw not dying.

however this boss have two atk that almost instantly kill you ( the eletric web takes the cake) and you cant recover from it ( you lose walking space)

Not to detract from any argument made here, just to mention that mushycake temporarily negates the slowdown from walking in the electric field, which is nice because you will likely need to walk into it now to divert other field casts.

also even if the boss is finicky, it is a good challenge that can be done

the fight is pretty fun when you get what to do. just practice a bit more. you will get the rythm of it

We're making some adjustments. Disabling the forced behavior to dash back toward center arena. Also, reducing the DoT damage (ground and supernova), as we had previously tuned it with full lunar resist and planar defense in mind. Now it will be around that level of damage with no lunar resist, and lower if you have lunar resist.

Just damage changes? Nothing abt the ground creep itself?

The issue is that its not a fun kind of difficult, W.A.R.B.O.T himself is fun difficulty, chaotic heat seeking missiles, tracking jumps, slams, drones all over the place, but Scion kinda just, dashes and slams? that's it really, it making the entire arena inhospitable and basically a death sentence from messing up once its more annoying than actual difficulty, yes i am aware that the counter play is just fighting it in the corner but its just so lame that they make you destroy Pearl's island to make a big arena and then make the boss use the least amount of space possible unless you want to just instantly die, Scion is also absurdly tanky so it ends up being a slog trying to make it attack the corner over and over again and just making it dash i guess, its a poor excuse of a final challenge.

Fighting in a small arena that keeps shrinking is not just difficult, is a kind of punishment.
