i love oni but would also love a slightly faster start having these extra two dues that early would be awesome maybe as a penalty it would be a random two so we cant over engineer our game or something but 5 dupes would help in the early game to get things moving faster the first 50 to 100 cycles seems to drag with all the exploring and digging out

If you don't mind using mod, Duplicant Stat Selector by Sgt_Imalas can do more than editing care packages or duplicants attributes. It can change your dupe counts when you start a new game.

This, custom starting scenarios have been a lot of fun.

any one can use mods for this its cool but with mods it disables the achivement part of the game and the only reason i use sand box mode is for more dupes at the start and wanted to present a reasonable number for base game i have seen with loading in with those its possible to start with 50 or more so 5 for base game seemed in scope esp if the last to where gamble only ie rng based

Lots of bad info on the wiki.

Who has the good link??

I think this is a great idea. TBH. I don't think I have ever considered such a thing. Why would it not be allowable to have a slider for the number of starter dupes? It seems like a super easy way to scale difficulty if one wishes to. I don't know what the parameters should be, but I think it would be a simple yet great addition to vary the complexity of the game. Some may enjoy the challenge of one start dupe, or maybe as many as 5 or ten. I don't think ten can fit in the start space but, there may be ten flat tiles there. Maybe that should be the max. What the number of flat tiles is in the generic start 'void'. Good thinking, a low hanging fruit in disguise. Kudos!
