Goodbye peat boiler I won't miss you

With the kiln recipe for refined carbon at least I won't have to work any more on this.

 

Turns out boiling peat is painful. It's TC is really low and the solid counterflow for 800g/s would have needed to be three times the length.

Also if you ever build one make sure you constantly hit the window of 50C between the melting point of peat and the melting point coal. Suddenly popping up columns of refined carbon ruining so much.

An interesting experiment I'm glad I don't have to repeat at every PPP run.

I was getting ready to work on a peat tempshift plate cooker in a vacuum with diagonal connection to magma for refined carbon... am very glad as well that we don't have to do that now with the new update.

My only annoyance is the glass.  I routinely disable the SS (think it is pointless - but I guess not), so don't have that 800kg of glass.  The imbalance of not allowing the glassforge earlier in the tech tree when the emulsifier needs 100kg of glass to make was a kick in the groin when I got to that point.

I'm going to have to now rush the radiation research to get the glass.

Somnium synthesizer doesn't get you 800kg glass, but the small amount (about 35kg?) does unlock them for care packages. I think Teleporter gets you another potential 30kg too

With the wall, you can get 800 Kg, given it's 100 Kg / Tile on this POI.
