Species preservation

One unfortunate thing that can happen with critters is that if you don't pay attention to wild ones or mess up the farm, you could accidentally extinct all of them. Then you need to wait indefinite amount of time for care packgaes. Usually the game allows you to fix up mistakes in your builds, but this one could be a permament problem.

Since PPP adds a lot of new critters, I feel like this may pose a bigger problem now. 

I feel like there should be a way to preserve eggs or critters for an indefinite amount of time until you are ready to breed them again or in case your main stock goes extinct. And PPP adds exactly the iconic material for preserving living matter - Amber!

I believe there should be a way to make some kind of amber chambers (or perhaps Isosap as non PPP alternative) which could indefinitely preserve either an egg or alive critter.

A simple Tamed Only checkbox on incubators, egg crackers, and storage bins would make it difficult to accidentally wipe out a species.
